John Stanley Bogard

He served in the U.S. Navy as a radioman and later retired from Bristol Myers-Squibb after 35 years of service in laboratory research. He graduated from F. J. Reitz High School in 1952 and attended Evansville College. Stan was a member of the VFW and a lifetime member of the Riverbend Association. His hobbies included fishing, playing cards, visiting casinos, traveling and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Stan is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rosie; sons, Steve (Joann) of Evansville, IN and Scott (Lynn) of Springfield, MO; grandchildren, Taylor, Shane and Mason; brother, Richard (Wanda) of Evansville, IN; sister, Sarah Mayfield of Benton, KY; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Dr. Robert J. Koch, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
