

Walnut Creek Special Care Center. She was born June 24, 1931, in Evansville to the late
Raymond and Florence (Norris) Miles.
Julia was known for her exquisite embroidery creations; Christmas stockings, pillows, wall
hangings. She loved Christmas and made all of her daughters and grandchildren beautiful
Christmas stockings.
She was involved with Bean and Blossom, being an avid gardener, and volunteered her
gardening skills at Evansville State Hospital`s Green house. She was a lifelong member of
St. Benedict Cathedral and enjoyed the Tri – State Athletic Club with her sister, Mary. She
loved mystery novels, suspenseful movies, Frank Sinatra and Jim Nabors, ice cream and
a strong cup of coffee. Julia enjoyed playing bridge with her many friends and traveling
and antiquing with Ralph.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph of 47 years; daughters, Jean Sailer (Dr. Scott) of
Chapel Hill, NC, Sandra Crist (Dr. Allen) of Galena, IL, Debra Bianchini (Peter) of Glen
Ellyn, IL, and Joanie Wilson of Lake Zurich, IL; grandchildren, Donald, Christine, and
David Sailer, Aubrey Fogle, Brittany, Joshua, Tessa, Anna, and Ben Crist, Jody Daniel
and Michael Bianchini; 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Louise Reising, and Marjorie
Johnson both of Evansville; brother, Raymond E Miles of Indianapolis, IN.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Rosemary Kaylor and Mildred Miles; brothers,
Russell and Joseph Miles.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm Friday, August 18, 2017, at Ziemer Funeral Home
East Chapel 800 S. Hebron, where a Memorial Service will begin at 6:00 pm. Funeral
Service will begin at 9:30 am Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the funeral home and continue
with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Benedict Cathedral 1328 Lincoln Ave,
Evansville.
Entombment will be at Memorial Park Mausoleum.
