

She worked for Servel during the war and then at Barron's Finer Foods for 30 years and Kids Consignment for nine years. She was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church for 63 years where she was a lifelong member of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class.
Louisa was preceded in death by her husband, Hervie, in 1984; and her brothers, Charlie and Cleston Salyer.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith A. (Gary) White and Bonnie J. (Bill) Hape, both of Evansville; grandchildren, Carrie (John) Pfender, Shay White, Amy (Jeff) Duvall and Andy (Kristi) Hape; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kaden and Kory Pfender, Ashleigh and Joshua Lefler, Katlyn Nienaber, Maddie, Will and Marley Duvall and Mia, Sophie and Addi Hape; great-great-granddaughter, Ellie Marie; brother, Harold Salyer of Eddyville, KY; sister, Juanita Basham of Evansville; nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, November 29, 2012, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Rev. Tyrone Edwards and Rev. Jerry Wirth with burial to follow. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 West Illinois Street.
