Robert E Phelps

Bob graduated from Reitz High School and worked at Whirlpool for 43 years. He was a very talented wood carver, especially of birds and was an accomplished carpenter. Bob enjoyed bowling and gardening. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores Phelps; daughters, Beatta "Bea" Phelps of Newburgh and Laya Phelps (Earl) of Evansville; sons, Robert Phelps, Jr. (Nancy), John Phelps (Laura), Joseph Phelps (Cherri) and Michael Phelps all of Evansville; grandchildren, Jaci, Jordan (Jenna), Allie, Zachary, Tyler and Jeanine Phelps; great grandchildren, Hank and Hunter Rose; sisters, Marjorie Reisinger of Evansville and Marilyn Rumsey of Titusville, FL and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 - 7:00 pm Friday October 30, 2015 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 and will continue from 9:00 - 10:00 am Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 418 N Wabash Ave, Evansville, IN 47712.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am Saturday October 31, 2015 at the church with Fr. Simon Natha officiating.

Burial will be at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
