

Bob was born in Evansville, Indiana on November 12, 1932 to the late John Prentice and Lola Effee (Evans) Sullivan. He graduated from Bosse High School and went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean War. Bob was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 0194 in Haubstadt, IN and the VFW Post 6576 in Wadesville, IN. He loved riding his Harley with the Patriot Guard and was a member of Lincoln Heritage Chapter Motorcycle Club and Black Beauty Coal Motorcycle Club. Bob enjoyed doing tractor pulls and was an avid Sprint and NASCAR fan. Bob could always be found at "The Shop" having a good time with his friends. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Margaret (Cline) Sullivan; daughters, Lee Ann (Larry) Barthlow of Rineyville, KY and Mamie Lola (Tim) McDonald of North Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Kevin Wayne Barthlow, Anna May, Nathaniel Wayne, Abigail Margaret and Audrey Darlene McDonald; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; his son, John Prentice Sullivan in 2004; sister, Reba Bridges; brother, William Sullivan; and by his step-sister, Virginia Rue.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave. with Rev. Howie Tobak officiating. Burial will be held at Alexander Memorial Park where military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 6576-Wadesville.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until service time on Wednesday.
