Rosemarie Vinson

Rosemarie (Bittner) Vinson, 88, of Evansville passed away Monday January 19, 2015 at River Pointe Health Campus. She was born June 10, 1926 in Evansville to the late Jesse Paul and Anna Faye (Paker) Bittner.

Rosemarie retired from Kmart after 23 years. She was a member of St. Theresa, VFW Ladies Auxiliary 2953 and American Legion Auxiliary 265. Rosemarie was an avid reader and enjoyed country music especially Toby Keith. She was a loving mother and grandmother and especially enjoyed her great grandchildren. She always had fresh baked cookies for her family.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Vinson; sister, Taffy Unger and step mother, Helen Bittner.

She is survived by her sons, Melvin Vinson of Evansville, James Vinson (Rebecca) of Wesminster, CA and Kenneth Vinson (Brenda) of Newburgh; grandchildren, Dena Vinson, Tony Vinson (Yadina), Jacob Vinson (Christy) and Sarah Sallengs (Tim).

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Friday January 23, 2015 at Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N First Ave., Evansville, IN 47710 and will continue from 9:00 - 10:00 am Saturday at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 600 Herndon Dr., Evansville, IN 47711.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am Saturday January 24, 2015 at the church.

Entombment will be at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery.
