

He was a devoted family man who loved his family more than anything. Teddy was a retired truck driver and had worked previously with his daughter at Taco John's where he made many friends. He had also worked in construction with his son. Teddy enlisted in the National Guard with his twin brother and proudly served his country for six years. He was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church and enjoyed country western films and spending time with his family.
Teddy was preceded in death by his brother, Lester Canary; and his parents.
Teddy is survived by his partner in life, Patti Canary; children, Jamie, Robert (Mignon), Jennifer and Julianna Canary; grandchildren, Kelzie, Gage, Dylan, Audi, Aneas, Danielle, Amen-Ra and Rami; great-grandchildren, Ahliejah and Ellie; brothers, Herbert (Peggy), Steve (Doris), Tony (Pam), Eddie (Vickie) and Jeff (Carla) Canary; sister, Janet (Tony) McLemore; sister-in-law, Linda Canary; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Friday, April 28, 2017, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, officiated by Rev. Roger Tabb, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Friday from 10:00 AM until service time at the cemetery chapel.
