Thomas R Boyd

He retired from USI as the Bursar and served four years in the US Navy and 20 years in the US Coast Guard. He loved to work puzzles, go bike riding, travel and read.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dolores (Bitters) Boyd, in December 2003; and brother, John Boyd.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Larry) Gerbig of Evansville; son, Tom (Joyce) Boyd of Metamora, IL; grandchildren, Kimberly (Steve) Greulich, Matthew and Chris (Tori) Gerbig, Megan and Andrew Boyd; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Anna, Aaron, Sophia, Jackson and Katie.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Joseph Schulte, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Monday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children.
