Andrew Douglas Ralph, 27, of Stanwood, Washington passed away December 26, 2022, at Providence Regional Medical Center. Andrew was born September 20, 1995. His life was short, but his memories are not.
He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 2014. While in high school, he played the trumpet in band and competed in swim and dive. He used the skills he learned at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center to become a diesel mechanic. Before that he spent time working in hydraulics. Andrew enjoyed working on engines and didn’t mind getting dirty.
He loved dirt bike riding, skiing, fishing and being in the outdoors. He often could be found walking in our woods, the colder the weather the better. Many lasting memories were made riding dirt bikes with his family. These included six days riding in Baja, camping trips to Tahuya, and endless poker runs.
Andrew struggled in the last year with his muscular dystrophy. Even with the toll it was taking on him physically and mentally, he never complained or asked for anything.
Andrew was loved by many and will be missed by many more. He leaves behind his daughter Elena; parents Nichole and Scott Hoglund, Calvin Ralph; his siblings Jessica Ralph, Stacy Ralph, Katelyn Hoglund, Sarah Hoglund and Tyler Hoglund; grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a nephew.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Frauna Hoglund, and his nephew Elias Reese.
A memorial service for Andrew will be held Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home. A reception will follow to celebrate his life at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
The family would like to thank all the friends and family who reached out during this difficult time. And a huge thank you to the nurses, doctors, and organ donor team who helped us through his final days.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at MDA.org
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Evergreen-FH.com for the family.
