Barbara Jean Hinson

(1931 – 2017)

Barbara J. Hinson, 86, Born in Wabeno, Wisconsin in 1931, longtime resident of Everett, Washington, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2017, with loved ones by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Lydia Dennee, sister Dorothy Dennee, granddaughter McKenzie Larson, grandson Shawn Larson, and husband and love of her life, Ernest S. Hinson, of 57 years.

She leaves behind daughters Patti (Jim) Larson, Stephanie (Dan) Asplund, Shelley Stevens(Jim); grandchildren Shannon (Mike) Palacios, Ryan (Heidi) Asplund, Craig (Jill) Asplund, Bret (Hailey) Larson, Brynn (Jose) Palomera, Cory (Julianne) Stevens; fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; sister Jacqueline Dennee-Lee; nieces Debbie (Don) Lewis, and Lydia Dennee-Lee.

Barbara attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School and later graduated from Everett High School. She was a devoted member of Perpetual Help Church in her early years and St. Mary Magdalen in her later years.

She took pride and found joy in being a homemaker and a devoted loving wife and mother. Her smile and positive outlook on life, her caring and loving manner extended to her family, her friends, and any and all that were blessed to have met her.

Barbara enjoyed family gatherings, music, dancing, gardening, coffee with the girls, and parties to root on the Seahawks. She was a caring mother, friend, and confidant. She brightened the lives of many, and we will all carry her memory and loving ways close to our hearts always.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at 2:00 p.m., at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery in Everett.
