Surrounded by her loving family in her home in Granite Falls, WA, Bonnie's final days were filled with reflection of a life filled with love, faith, and long-lasting connections.
Born on August 4, 1957, in Everett, WA, to Ray and Helen Peery, both of whom preceded her in death, Bonnie’s journey through life was dedicated to creating a home filled with love and putting the needs of others before hers at all times, doing so with joy in her heart as long as the end goal of bringing family and friends together to fellowship with each other was achieved.
Bonnie was married on December 8, 1979, to Randy Brumbaugh, whom she was married to until his passing in June of 2024. A beautiful and long-lasting marriage where she was always vocal about getting to be married to her true “best friend”. Their marriage lasted for nearly 45 years and was one built on serving God above all else. Together they raised three sons: Chad, Clayton, and Matthew. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Madison, Tyler, Isabella, Talia, Ethan, and Audrey, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to Bonnie’s life.
Bonnie is also survived by her brother, Phil Peery (wife, Carol) whom she shared many memories with throughout the years and became especially close to over the final years of her life. She is preceded in death by her sister Raydean. Raydean suffered from kidney failure due to living with diabetes from the time she was a young child. Bonnie made the trip to Ohio while still a young mother and, without hesitation, donated a kidney to her sister Raydean. The surgery added 10+ years to her sister’s life, allowing Raydean to raise her son’s during those years.
Bonnie is survived by numerous aunts, including Nancy Fowler, which has always viewed and cared for Bonnie as her own child. Additionally, many other uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who all experienced Bonnie's profound love and care, further extending the bonds of her family.
Growing up in Everett, WA, Bonnie’s main goal was to create a safe and happy home for her sons and husband. During this time, she also operated as a hairdresser in her home for years, building countless friendships through her clientele; whom she treated as family once they entered her home.
Throughout her life Bonnie loved and gave herself completely for the joy of pleasing others. Hosting countless gatherings with the Brumbaugh and Wiley families as well as many groups of friends and neighbors. While living in Everett she built relationships with her neighbors that lasted a lifetime. After settling in Granite falls, she also became close with many of her neighbors, creating an environment which felt welcoming for all who entered. Always greeting guests with a warm embrace and big smile that made every person feel at home the second they entered. She remained close to friends from her childhood until the last days of her life, gathering together regularly and going on a yearly trip to various places and making memories until her last days. She traveled with friends and family often, camping all over the west coast with her husband and children at many campgrounds and amusement parks through her younger years as a loving mother. During retirement, her and Randy often went to places near the ocean, which she loved to see as much as she could. Hawaii was her favorite destination, her and Randy traveled there many times through their lives, creating many cherished memories.
Bonnie’s greatest joy was being with family and friends. She always wanted to know more about you than to tell you about herself. Always showing grace and care for you and your life ahead of her own. She truly showed everyone what it meant to be selfless and humble, caring for the needs of others first.
Bonnie Lynn Brumbaugh will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will always bring a warm and joyful emotion to all who think of her.
A memorial service to celebrate Bonnie's beautiful life will be held on Friday, May 1st at Evergreen Funeral Home.
Rest in peace, Bonnie. Your warmth and love will remain in our hearts forever.
