Carol was born February 5, 1939 in Great Falls Montana to George and Helen Kugelard. She was the youngest of three girls.
Her family raised the girls in Montana and Carol graduated from Great Falls High school there. Her family then made a move to Washington State where her father’s work with the Railroad took them.
It was in Washington State on a visit to the dentist for a checkup where Carol would meet the love of her life and husband of 34 years-James Frederick Lloyd Venables, DDS
They soon started their own family and had three sons; James Evan, Keith Franklin and Kirk Lloyd.
Carol was a loving and involved mother who enjoyed every part of raising her sons and caring for her husband. She was the quintessential mother who lovingly cooked delicious meals for her family. She was active with the Boy Scouts, and sewed every patch on their vests. When they entered High School, she was present and active in their sports activities and made sure their band uniforms were ready for go. Her family loved music and Carol was a percussionist from High School and throughout her life. She was known for her many needlepoint projects gifts and was an exceptional seamstress. She had strong faith in our Lord and Savior and was active in the Presbyterian Church where she was a “bell ringer”. Carol had a good work ethic and dedicated many years to working at the Snohomish County PUD until her retirement there along with working for some time for the Boy Scouts.
She and her husband entered a new chapter of their lives upon retirement and left Everett permanently to live their home in Ocean Park on the Long Beach Peninsula. There they enjoyed entertaining at their beach house and loved the beach life at Gems PRI Mor. The Sunset over the water, the crashing of waves, the clam digging and the many gatherings of friends and family became their Golden Years together for Carol and her husband before he passed in 1995.
Following his passing Carol spent several more years in Long Beach working with Pacific County in South Bend as a County Clerk, but eventually found her way back to Marysville in 2002 to be close to her beloved grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her sister Shirley, her parents, and her husband.
She is survived by her sons; James (Nikki), Keith (Sonya) and Kirk (Monica), her sister Marcia, her grandchildren Janelle (Marshall) Houser, and Amanda, Nathan and Vanessa Venables along with multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
She will be deeply missed and will be remembered fondly for her kindness and love.
