Forever in Our Hearts

Chou Nikk Cha was born on May 30, 1972 in Luangprabang, Laos. He is the seventh child of ten children to Chong Moua Cha and Mee Thao. He has two brothers and seven sisters. His family migrated to Thailand in 1975 and then to the United States in 1980. In 1982 his family moved from Redmond, WA to Sacramento, CA.

In 1991, Nikk graduated from River City High School in California and began farming in Washington soon after. He lived his early adult life in Minnesota where he married and started a family; he has three daughters and one son. Nikk was very successful running the family farm and being an attentive father to his children. He helped raised his brother-in-law’s children as well. He was known to be the youngest farmer in Minnesota and was featured in the newspaper. In 2009 he returned to CA and then back to WA in 2013 where he lived with his nephew, Tommy Kong. He settled in Monroe, WA in 2018 where he moved his mother and nephew Andrew Cha in with him and cared for them. Nikk has a kind heart and put others before himself.

Nikk passed on May 7, 2021 at 3:50 p.m. He leaves behind his mother (Mee Thao); his son (Pryce); his daughters (Melvina, Melysia, & Onita); his brother (Long) and his sisters (Neng, Marci, Mo, Cindy, Tina, & Suzin). Nikk was preceded in rest by his father (Chong Moua Cha); brother (Ko) and sister (Kia).

Goodbye to our beloved baby brother. Nikk, you were a good son, father, and brother. As the youngest son; you set an example of true love and kindness. We will miss you and you will forever be in our hearts just as you have said many times how you carry us in your heart always....
