

David L. Hall, 74, of Everett, WA, passed away December 29, 2017 at Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett, WA. Mr. Hall was born June 1, 1943 in Boston, MA to Edward and Frances Hall. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force for 12 years, and achieving the rank of USAF Tech Sergeant. In addition to serving in Viet Nam, he also served with the Air Force police as an MP in Bangkok, Thailand for more than 2 years. While there, he also taught English to children in Bangkok. He earned a commendation medal for good conduct, was also in the National Defense Service. For some years, he worked overseas in Australia, and also in Cambodia, where he helped to build hospitals and worked for those hospitals to support them.
After his military service, Mr. Hall went on to become a professional truck driver for 40 years until his retirement in 2015. He married Remi Kato in Lynnwood, WA on September 11, 2004. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, dancing, and music—especially Bruce, classics and 60’s to 80’s music. David and Remi visited Hokkaido, Japan in June of 2017. They traveled to East Hokkaido and visited an Ainu (Native Japanese) village. David and his family celebrated his 74th birthday with Remi’s family in Japan during this trip.
Preceding him in death are his father, Edward S. Hall; mother Frances L. Hayward Hall; and sister Beverly. Surviving him are his wife, Remi Kato-Hall; and children, Michael, Stephen, and Chatree; nephew Kevin; and grandchildren Christopher and Nathaniel.
