November 18, 1963 – August 14, 2014
Born in Seattle Washington on November 18, 1963 and was raised in Shoreline. Doug was involved with Boy Scouts and participated high school track. He was also an accomplished trumpet player for Shoreline High School’s marching and stage bands from which he graduated in 1982. Doug later went on to graduate from the Washington State Patrol Academy and after serving 25 years in his community as a Washington State Trooper he retired in March of 2014.
Doug was passionate about his career, his love of music and his only child Haley was his pride and joy.
Doug is survived by his daughter Haley Downey, his parents Joan and Richard Downey and his brother Daniel Downey.
