Dustin Henry Ramsey

Dustin was born at home in Chimayo, New Mexico, on January 25, 1978, to Richard Ramsey and Victoria Walton. Growing up in Santa Fe, his world expanded to include step-mom Nora Ramsey, step-dad Chuck Chirieleison, and his siblings, Xandy Chirieleison, Sunny Hartman Chirieleison, and Lila Larkin. He formed lifelong bonds at Santa Fe Prep. After high school graduation he attended New Mexico State University, where he earned his degree in mechanical engineering and saw his circle of friends and adventures continue to grow.

In 2001, Dustin began a distinguished career at Boeing. Starting in 767 fuel systems, he became vital to the research and development that launched the 787 and 777-9 programs. Throughout his journey as a designer, system integrator, and leader, his focus turned toward teaching and mentorship. This dedication culminated in Dustin reaching the pinnacle of his profession as a Boeing Technical Fellow.

While building his career, Dustin met Eun Park, and the two were married on August 9, 2010. Together, they began his greatest adventure: raising their son, Desmond. From the moment he was born, Desmond was the center of Dustin’s world. Whether they were exploring the outdoors, building robots, or sharing quiet moments at home, Dustin’s greatest pride was being a father. He loved sharing his curiosities with Desmond, from investigating the latest technology, working on home projects, and 3D printing together.

Dustin lived life in constant motion, on weekends he could be found mountain biking, hiking with the dogs, or spending time with Xandy. He was the "glue" of his community—the person who ensured no one was ever left out. His joy was bringing people together, whether for small conversations at local breweries or organizing trips with friends. Over his 25 years in the PNW, Dustin was a big Seattle sports fan, he cheered the Sonics, Mariners, and Seahawks.

Dustin was a man of immense heart. As a trusted mentor and loyal friend, his kindness and wisdom left a lasting mark on every life he touched. His spirit remains a guiding light for his family and friends, and he will be forever loved and deeply missed. Dustin is survived by his wife, Eun; his son, Desmond; his parents, Victoria and Chuck, and Nora; and his siblings, Xandy, Sunny, and Lila. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard.
