“Rip” was born on Dec. 22, 1927 and after a long courageous battle with cancer, passed away July 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Pittser and Frances Kelly. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carmelita, his children, Earl Kernaghan III (Maggie), Cathie Davis (Willie), Cheri Phillips (Steve), Mark Kernaghan and Michael Kernaghan (Tracy), 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Mary Barth.
Services will be held at 11 am July 13, 2011 at Evergreen Funeral Home with a reception to follow and the graveside service at 2:30 pm at Calvary Cemetery in Seattle, WA.
