Edra A Richardson (Edie) went to heaven on May 28, 2022 where she was joyfully reunited with her beloved husband of almost 50 years, Duane. Edie leaves behind her sons Gordon Richardson, Mark Richardson (Debbie), Allen Richardson (Gail), and daughter Julie Loomis (Andy) as well as her cherished grandchildren, Curtis, Travis, Eva, Elizabeth (Cole), Rhiannon, Fiona, Samuel, and Annie.
Edie was born in Cardston, Alberta in 1932. She moved with her family to Klickitat, WA as a young girl where she met Duane. Eventually, they settled in Everett where they raised their family. Edie was a loving mother who volunteered as a Boy Scout leader, a Campfire leader, and at her children’s schools. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed many activities with them. She attended their athletic events, dance performances, theatre performances and graduations. Edie volunteered in her community as a victim advocate and at the senior center where she taught bridge for several years.
In the 1970’s, she returned to school and proudly became a registered nurse. She worked as a pediatric nurse at the Everett Clinic and later in a private practice in Everett. Edie loved people and loved to make friends.
She was an active member of Everett First Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, attending Bible studies and, of course, making friends. When asked, she was almost always available to help set up or clean up after memorial services or make flower arrangements.
Edie is now exactly where she longed to be, with her Savior, Jesus Christ and her great love, Duane, as well as countless friends and family and cherished pet Mignon. “For now we see as through a glass, dimly, but then, face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know, even as I also am known.” 1 Corinthians 13:12.
