Our Mother, went peacefully to met her Lord And Savior Jesus Christ on June 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Ella (Elouise) was born in Everett, WA, on August 11 1924, to John and Vernal Ginnard, She grew up on Riverside, attended grade school and Everett High. She worked at Boeing Co. in Seattle until her fiancés was killed in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
She returned home to Everett. Then she managed the Ice cream parlor on Colby Ave, where she met Charles J. Imholt who frequented it often, and finally got a date. Ella and Charles were married June 21, 1947. They spent 39 years together and raised six children in the home they built on Colby. They attended Immaculate Conception Church, she currently attended Gospel Light Church.
Mom was, loving, kind and nurturing. She also cared for her Mother, a great aunt, and grandchildren. She opened her home for those in need. There was always a fresh pot of tea and cookies when you arrived. She loved camping at Verlot, and the annual summer week at Lake Goodwin. At 70 years young she married a long time childhood friend Edward Black and they enjoyed 10 wonderful, loving years together. Ella lived in the Centennial Trail Senior apartments in Snohomish and was active at the Snohomish Senior Center. She lived independently until the age of 92.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vernal Ginnard, sister, Mildred Jelvik, brothers, Francis and John Ginnard; husband, Charles J. Imholt, daughter, Mary Imholt Felton, son, Lynnus Imholt, great granddaughter, Jordan Felton. and husband Edward Black.
She leaves behind a sister Elaine Bogart, sons, Charles M. (Theresa) Imholt, Joseph (Kathy) Imholt, daughters Kathleen Smith, and JoAnn (Lee) Felton; Edwards children, Uni (Del) Walker, Jim Black, Les (Geni) Black and Beazzy Stratford; 17 grandchildren, 29 great grand children, and three great great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She lived a long and happy life and will be missed by her family and friends.
A celebration of life, service will be held Saturday June 23, 2018 at 12:00 at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway Everett 98203.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Providence Hospice Care Center.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and staff at Providence Hospice Care center for the excellent loving care they provided for our Mother.
