Francis Anthony Yanglug Girad

Francis Anthony Yanglug Girad, 63, left us to be with our heavenly Father Oct. 1, 2022, surrounded by

those he loved dearly in Everett, WA.

Francis was born Oct. 3, 1958, in Yinuf, Rull in Yap, Micronesia (FSM) to Dogned Noweg and Ligow

Matay. Both deceased. Francis was an only child.

Growing up, Francis did not have a lot of opportunities like many others but was able to graduate high

school. He worked a couple of jobs including working as a taxi driver for some time but made a career

as a heavy equipment operator. He took part in the construction of roads, airport facility and sanitary

landfill back on his home island of Yap. He also took part in the project of connecting his home island to

the fiber optic network in the Pacific. He worked very hard to provide and take good care of his family.

Before having a family, he used to race motorcycles and tinkered in a lot of things. His hobbies included

fixing cars and motorcycles, cleaning around the yard, raising farm animals, helping others when he

could and spending quality time with his wife and children.

Francis had a great sense of humor. He would tell funny stories for laughter, sad stories for tears and

when he chats and mingles, he tells detail-oriented stories. He had a humble heart and loved on all

people. He believed in having good education and taking care of family. He was a great father and a

loving husband.

Francis lived in a couple of countries. In 2018, he moved his family to Palau so his children could have

better education opportunities. In 2021, he moved with his wife and son (the youngest) to Washington

so his son can complete his high school education.

Francis is survived by his wonderful wife Anna R. Gorongpin and six beautiful children, Tony Dogned

(deceased), Maxina Thol, Lucilla Gguney, Krystal Taareb, Sapphire Ligow, and Edmund Diamond

Suwongumuchuu.

We believe Francis is with our Heavenly Father and is waiting for us to meet again.

A viewing at 5pm, funeral at 6pm and reception from 7- 8pm for Francis will be held Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203.
