Frederick Lee Banghart

Frederick was born February 5, 1941 in Battle Creek Michigan to parents Robert and Elizabeth Banghart. He passed away at the age of 72 on March 15, 2013 at an adult family home in Edmonds, Washington. Fred attended North Kitsap High School and later went on to attend Olympic Community College. He also heard the call to serve his country and was a clerk in the United States Air Force. On September 24, 1972, he married the love of his life, Rebekah Finney. Fred had a good career after the military as an Insurance Agent which he did for 25 years until his retirement in 2008. He helped with the Boy Scouts as Scoutmaster for Troop 36. Frederick is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elizabeth. He is survived by his wife Rebekah; children David Banghart, Suzon Davis, Erica McClain, Lee Banghart, Jay Banghart, Kari Banghart and Marti Emborg; brother’s Al and Robert; sisters, Martha Foltz, Kathy Decker and Elizabeth Liebert; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and his former wife, Jill Christian.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation in Fred’s honor to The Boy Scouts of America, or the American Alzheimer’s Association. Fred will be deeply missed by his large and loving family and will leave behind his Legacy of helping others.
