George started his first business with a partner in 1969 called K&G Werkstatt in Wedgewood, WA. and in 1971 he started his own business called Competition Motors that was under the Space Needle in Seattle on Broad Street. In 1972 he moved his business to Lake City Way and worked there until he retired 1984.
He bought his dream property in Leavenworth, Washington on the Chiwawa River and lived there until 1996. He created a 9,000 sq ft home that filled up with so many wonderful and loving memories. They moved to Shelton, Washington in 1996. In 2016, his nephews, Theo and Larry Donk, graciously asked them to move to Lake Stevens to live on their property and in September of this year made his final move to Index, Washington to live out his life with his wife Rene and daughter Cynthia.
