

George Toothaker passed peacefully at the ripe age of 91, on Feb. 2, 2013 in Everett, WA with his loving daughter by his side. He was born July 17, 1921 in Van Buren, Arkansas. George is survived by his beloved son Gary Toothaker, his grateful daughter Joy Lozano (John Martin), his cherished grandchildren: Joel (Melissa) Carper, Amanda (Josh) King, Chad (Heather) Toothaker, Justin Toothaker, Soña & Frankie Lozano. He prized his great-grandchildren: Brendan & Caleb King, and Collin, Jocelyn, & Naomi Toothaker and a Carper baby on the way. He was predeceased by his wife Thelma, parents Vern & Birdie Toothaker, daughter Donna Rae Toothaker, brothers Dr. Roy Toothaker & Robert Toothaker, sisters Neva Swink and Louella Benton and a sibling that drowned at infancy.
George grew up during the "depression" in Arkansas, attended Coffeyville HS in Kansas where he was an avid swimmer. He joined the Army Air force working as an airplane mechanic and later acquired his A&P and pilot license flying single engine airplanes with his family. George enjoyed working on missile sites all around the US and moved his family to Washington where he retired from Boeing after 30 years. He loved being with family & friends, playing cards and pool, golfing, and babysitting his grandchildren.
