Janell was born and raised in Everett, Washington. She attended Mariner High School, graduating in 1984. Janell really enjoyed the outdoors. Camping along the river, going to the beach, etc. She also loved gardening. She'd spend hours weeding her flowerbeds and driveway. She found it therapeutic. She had other interests as well, such as arts and crafts, collecting fairy figurines and tigers. Cobalt blue glass, miniature items. She loved her new puppy, Tonka. Who she got during her chemo. Most of all she loved being with her family, and grandchildren. In 2020 she was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery after her appendix burst. To which she was diagnosed with colon cancer and endured a year of chemotherapy. Her puppy helped her get through it as she wanted to quit. She made it through and less than a week later she caught covid pneumonia inside her own home.
To Janell, her family is everything. Especially her 7 grandchildren. Her love for each one was very special.
Janell is survived by her ex-husband James Baker, her daughter Jenika and son in-law Daniel, her son Joshua, grandchildren Joey, Kalynn, Raelynn, Danny, Izabelle, Adelaide, and Teagan. And her sister Joan.
She is preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Marian, brother Jerry, and infant sister Donna. She was the heart of the family who truly kept everyone together. She is and will always be more loved than she will ever know.
