

Josiah Pomaika'i Hiromasa Santiago, age 22, of Mukilteo, Washington passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
Josiah (aka: “Pojo”) is a beloved & cherished son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend to many. He was born in Everett, Washington, the second youngest of five children and raised in Mukilteo, Washington.
Josiah attended St. Mary Magdalen School, Harbour Pointe Middle School, Archbishop Murphy High School (AMHS class of 2020) and Bellevue College (BC). In May of 2024, he graduated with a Business Administration Degree from the University of The Cumberlands (UC) in Kentucky. Having passion, dedication and great talent Josiah played baseball with pure enjoyment of the game from 5 years of age until the end of his college years. He excelled competitively in both football & baseball playing as a Wildcat for AMHS. During his college years he played as an outfielder with the Bulldogs (BC) and the Patriots (UC).
Josiah always discovered beauty in every aspect of life. He created beautiful memories with his family (his siblings in particular) playing video games, cards, board games, thrift shopping, cooking, cheering on his favorite sports teams, watching sunsets and just hanging out to be with those he loved - including his pups!
He formed many lifelong friendships near and far along the way. Josiah inspired others to live a life of renewed faith and unconditional love. His beautiful legacy of strength and hope will continue in the lives of others with his donated vital organs.

Josiah is survived by his parents, Christopher & Debbie Santiago; eldest brother, Micah (Logan) Mato & their son, Finley (Josiah's nephew); older brother, Elijah; older sister, Christina; younger brother, Kaleb; grandparents, papa John & grandma Leona Santiago & hulmoni, Chin Sook Hiromasa and great-grandmothers, Helen Santiago & Sophie Yonashiro.
Josiah is preceded in death by his grandfather, Francis Hiromasa; great-grandparents, Lawrence & Edith Hiromasa; great-grandpa, John Santiago; great-grandpa, Ben Capua and great-grandpa, Walter Yonashiro.
There will be a viewing at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway, Everett, WA 98203 on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5pm - 8pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Parish, 8517 7th Avenue SE, Everett, WA 98208 on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1:30pm preceded by a viewing from 11am - 12:30pm and a rosary prayer at 12:45pm. Burial will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1pm at Holyrood Cemetery, 205 NE 205th St, Shoreline, WA 98155
