

Junice Axelson, 91, passed away Dec 23, 2021 at Harbour Pointe Senior Living in Mukilteo, Wa.
Junice Deloris Holte was born Dec 2nd 1930 to John Melvin Holte and Josie Olene (Anderson) Holte in Little Buffalo, Saskatchewan, Canada. John Holte and his family left their farm in Powers Lake and moved to Saskatchewan, Canada in 1928 on a promise of rich farmland. They moved back to their farm on the shores of Powers Lake, North Dakota shortly after Junice was born. Junice was raised and graduated high school in Powers Lake, North Dakota.
Junice had a job at the Montana Power Company in Bismarck, North Dakota for a short time.
On Dec 17, 1951 she married Lester W. Axelson in Poulsbo, Kitsap County, Washington. Lester, who was in the U.S.Navy at the time, was also born and raised in Powers Lake, North Dakota
Junice and family lived in Tioga, North Dakota until 1964 when they packed up all their belongings and moved to Duvall, Washington State
They bought a 13 acre farm just outside Monroe, Washington. After Lester got a job working for the Washington State Reformatory in Monroe, Junice got a job working for the Deaconess Children's Home in Everett. They sub-divided and sold the 13 acre farm and moved to a home in Robin Hood Park, Monroe. Later, they moved to a new home north of Monroe.
After Lester passed, Junice purchased a townhouse in Snohomish, Washington and lived there until moving to the Harbour Pointe Senior Living facility.
She is preceded in death by her twin brothers Duane and Daryl Holte, Pleonard Holte, Beulah Smith and Howard Holte.
Junice is survived by her 4 children, Daryl Axelson, Debra Wick, Curt Axelson and Lana Collins, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
