Born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, Keith grew up with his siblings in California and followed his family to Washington. With a 30-year career as an engineering draftsman, he left his mark on the world by designing power plants and other structures globally. Keith's passion for his craft extended beyond his professional life as he was also a talented artist and woodworker. His meticulous attention to detail and creative flair were evident in everything he did.
Keith's love for music was unmatched. A dedicated fan of Pink Floyd, he fondly named his two cats Pink and Floyd. His love for rock 'n' roll was only rivaled by his enthusiasm for the drums and watching zombie movies. A true movie buff and music aficionado, Keith enriched the lives of many with his artistic spirit.
A collector of clocks, he cherished each piece, considering it a piece of art. His slightly obsessive neatness only enhanced his skills, whether it was drawing, woodworking, or simply cleaning. His motto "you have to read the directions" guided his precise approach to life. He was a mentor, he was giving, helpful and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Keith’s unwavering patience and readiness to help others defined his character. He would lend a hand to anyone in need without ever showing frustration. His compassion was as boundless as his humor, and he will be fondly remembered for the joy he brought into our lives.
Keith is survived by his loving children, Tristan Emmerick (Lily) Eric Emmerick (Sarah) and Andrew Emmerick, his mother Gro Jonsberg, his siblings, Scott Emmerick, Christine Prather and Monique Gilchrist (Tom) and a host of family and friends who were blessed to know him.
In honoring Keith's memory, may we all be inspired by his generosity, creativity, and passion for life. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
