on January 9, 2023, in Mesa, Arizona, at the age of 79.
Evelyn was born on December 30, 1943, in Williston, North Dakota, to Chester and Marian
Boid, and was raised in Culbertson, Montana, before later living in Glasgow, Montana. She
eventually moved to Everett, Washington, with her husband, where they raised two daughters. In
1981, she settled in Mesa, Arizona, where she lived for the remainder of her life.
Evelyn brought warmth, creativity, and kindness into every life she touched. She was the proud
mother of two daughters, Mychelle (Randy) Stalcup and Kimberly Bailey; and the beloved
grandmother of Kaci (Roger) Esson and Kodi Stalcup. She is also survived by her dear sister
Lydia Copenhaver and her brother Chuck (Sue) Boid, with whom she shared many cherished
memories. Several nieces and nephews also held a special place in her heart and fondly
remember her love.
Evelyn had a gift for making a house feel like a home. She was a talented crocheter, an
exceptional cook and baker, and a passionate gardener who found peace and joy in watching her
plants bloom. Through her beautiful handmade creations, she leaves behind lasting keepsakes
that her family will treasure forever.
More than anything, Evelyn was a true neighbor and loyal friend—always ready with a helping
hand, a warm smile, or a listening ear. Above all, she deeply loved her family and devoted
herself fully to them. Her legacy of love, generosity, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
A graveside committal service for Marian will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at 12:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery, 4504 Broadway, Everett, Washington followed by a reception.
