Marion Katherine Flood Martinez

Marion “Tiger” Martinez a long time resident of King and Snohomish Counties passed away in Seattle on November 5, 2012. Marion was born May 16, 1948 to parents Thomas and Florence Flood in Greenwood Lake, New York. She attended and graduated from Monroe Woodbury High School in Central Valley, New York and went on to attend and graduate from Becker Junior College in Worchester, Massachusetts. On December 23, 1982, she married Armando Martinez in Marysville Washington. They were married for 20 years and had a son Michael. Marion served for 20 years as the Secretary for the State of Washington Department of Health and Social Services until she retired. She loved music , dancing, CHILDREN, outdoor activities like going to the ocean, tulip and flower festivals, decorating for the holidays and helping people who were in need; she especially loved spending time with her son Michael. Marion is preceded in death by her parents Thomas J and Florence Flood and brother Frank N. Flood. She is survived by her son Michael Martinez and sister Jean Trevegno.

Mom, you will always be in my heart, and will always be with me forever. Thank you for all that you have done for me and God Bless you for all the people you helped in life. You were my one and only Mom and I will miss you so much…Until we meet again, “Vaya con dios”, I love you mom. Love Michael.
