Marita S. Domaschk, also known as "Granny," was born on August 28, 1937, in Shelbyville, Indiana, and passed away peacefully on April 14, 2024, at the age of 86 in Everett, WA. She is with our Lord and Savior.
Marita was a beloved individual who touched the lives of many with her sense of adventure, independence, and resourcefulness. Although she lived a challenging life, she had a kind heart and was always willing to help others in need. Her children have countless “Granny” stories which always bring a fond smile and laughter.
Marita, known for her green thumb, was an avid rose gardener who found solace and joy in nurturing her roses. She also had a passion for horses, cross-stitching, and dancing that brought her immense pleasure throughout her life.
Marita will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her loved ones. On her own, she raised and is survived by her children: Julie D. Savage, Dean F. Talkington, Matthew J. Tully (wife Christine), John G. Tully (wife Polly), and Kathleen T. Allen (husband Steve), step-son Stewart H. Buck aka Estua (wife Angela), nine grandchildren: Missy, Mason, Mitchell, Jenna, Daniel, Olivia, David, Johnny, and Tyler, and several great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rickey Domaschk, brothers Raymond and Robert Carter.
Marita's presence in the lives of those who knew her will always be cherished, and her memory will continue to live on through the hearts of her family and friends. Most of all, she was mindful that we are only on this earth a little while and she lived the Dash each day with passion and purpose.
