Meagane Elizabeth Jenkins sadly passed away Monday, September 18, 2023, at her home in Everett, Washington. She is survived by her Daughter Silvia M. Castellanos, Her Parents Don and Beverly Jenkins, her siblings: Chasity L. Thomas, Sophia R. Aiyedebinu, Abigail D. Jenkins, Don K. Jenkins Jr and Joi V. Jenkins. As well as her nieces, nephews and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.
Meagane was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina where she lived with her family until 2001.Meagane along with her family then moved to Washington. There Meagane did many things. She learned and became fluent in Spanish, finished her education, had her daughter Silvia.
Meagane also had the privilege of traveling several times throughout the US. Meagane can easily be described as a passionate, fun loving, caring, vivacious, determined and very motivated person. She was the type of person who really didn’t care what people thought of her, but truly cared about what she thought of herself. But, how can we speak about Meagane without speaking about her singing! She LOVED singing. She sang everywhere she went. In the car, at home and sometimes even in the stores. Thankfully she had a beautiful singing voice. The only thing that came close to her “love of singing” was her “love of family”.
If you spoke to each one of her siblings and asked them about Meagane and what she did for them; each person would have a completely different story in the way that she helped them. From her weekly calls making sure everyone was alright, to her visits that she would make to all of us. Meagane had a way of telling you the cold hard truth, but doing it in a way that makes you laugh while motivating you to action at the same time. Making you feel special and good about yourself.
Meagane was a beautiful person with a beautiful personality, and she will be missed greatly. We are all looking forward to a time when we will be with our beloved Meagane. The family would like to thank you all for your prayers, love and support.
