Melinda Kay Sheehan passed away suddenly on May 29, 2014 at the age of 53. She was born December 9, 1960 to Bill and Gloria Shineman in Seattle and has lived in the Seattle area all of her life. She was a fun-loving child and was open and friendly to everyone she met. As an adult, she was funny and kind with a heart full of love that she was quick to share. When she met her husband Mike, she was finally completely happy. She and Mike had a good life together, even when weathering through some pretty tough times with health issues. They especially enjoyed vacations to the Oregon coast. Melinda followed in her Dad’s footsteps and worked at Boeing in Everett. She loved her job and was sad to leave when health issues arose some time ago. She made lasting friendships, and dearly missed being a part of the Boeing family. Melinda was also an avid Kindle reader and a true movie buff. I doubt there’s a movie left out there she hasn’t seen by now. Amazon is truly going to miss her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria; and her sister, Sonnie. Left to miss her beautiful smile and loving heart are her husband, Mike; her children, Jeremy and Ryan; her grandson, Ethan; her parents, Bill and Ronnee; and her sisters, Debbie and Tammie. There will be a Celebration of Melinda's life held at Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504 Broadway in Everett, WA on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 2:00PM. This time will to celebrate Melinda's beautiful life, not to mourn her loss. After a brief welcome, family and friends will be asked to come forward and share the funny things that happened with Melinda and the things about Melinda that touched you the most. You know, ‘the good stuff,’ because that’s what Melinda was, the Good Stuff. In lieu of flowers, please donations can be made to the Red Cross. Please visit www.evergreen-fh.com to leave your condolences on Melinda's online guestbook.
