

Michael was born to John and Lois Callow in Seattle, Washington on May 23, 1949. He was raised alongside his three siblings. He attended, and graduated from West Seattle High School.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Michael sailed the seas as a member of the United States Navy. His unwavering commitment to duty and his unwavering patriotism shone brightly during his service. The Navy instilled in him values of discipline, perseverance, and loyalty, which he carried throughout his lifetime.
He was a dedicated and skilled small appliance engine mechanic, Born with a curious mind and deft hands, he embraced a vocation that brought joy and convenience to countless households. With immense pride, he worked tirelessly for renowned institutions like Maytag, the school district, and bakery machinery companies throughout his career.
Beyond his accomplishments at work, Michael's legacy was defined by his role as a devoted husband to his beloved Peggy. Together, they celebrated 45 beautiful years of marriage – a partnership built on love, friendship, and unwavering support. Together they raised two wonderful children, Cathy and Bryan who brought immeasurable joy and pride to their lives.
Michael was a man of many talents and hobbies. Fond of spending time in natural surroundings, he found solace and inspiration in his garden. With loving care, he nurtured a beautiful oasis where colorful blooms thrived, and where tomatoes grew plump and vibrant. From these bounties, Michael would create delectable canned treats, such as his famous canned tomatoes sauce and his special recipe of dill pickles that he shared generously with family and friends.
Exploring the great outdoors brought Michael pure bliss. He relished in the simplicity of camping trips, where he exchanged the hustle and bustle of everyday life for the tranquility of nature. Casting his line into serene waters, he found peace in the art of fishing, relishing each moment he spent waiting for a tug on his line.
Michael's shed was his sanctuary, where he could be found transforming raw materials into works of art. With his skillful hands, he would craft and build, objects leaving countless heirlooms that will be cherished by generations to come.
On September 3, 2023 in Everett, Washington, Michael bid farewell to this earthly existence, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, passion, and devotion will forever serve as a reminder of a life lived with purpose and dedication.
He is predeceased by his parents Louis and John Callow.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Peggy, their children Cathy Wacker and Bryan Callow. His sisters; Kathryn Dewey and Patty Borgeson, his brother Dave Callow, his precious grandchildren; Tyler Jordan and Autumn Callow, and five great grandchildren along with a wide network of friends. We will always cherish the memories we shared with him, and find solace in knowing that he now rests in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of gardens he so cherished.
