AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Michael Anthony Urbina

27 mai 1989 – 2 septembre 2020
Avis de décès de Michael Anthony Urbina
AUX SOINS DE

Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery

Michael was born on May 27, 1989 at Delta Memorial Hospital in Antioch, CA. His parents were Virginia Ponce de Leon and Hector Urbina III. Michael was raised in California until high shool, then moved to Washington State in 2003.

Even as a child, Michael had the ability to make people laugh all around him. He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes. He was raised to be warm, caring and friendly. He couldn’t help but capture everyone’s attention. He was definitely a little bit of a show off, but in doing so, he succeeded in entertaining his family and friends. Michael was easygoing and fun loving. He managed to lighten the mood wherever he was, even during family squabbles.

All of Michael's playful good humor carried over into his childhood. He was possessed with an outgoing personality and a lively imagination. He took part in football and band in High School. In his spare time he liked video games, music and hanging out with his friends. Michael was so very proud of himself when he graduted from Job Corps in 2008.

Ask anyone who knew him from school and they would tell you that Michael was a class “clown.” He didn’t do it to be unkind or to garner all the attention. Rather, Michael simply enjoyed others’ laughter and the sounds of his friends and acquaintances having a good time. It could be said that for Michael, grades may not have been the most important thing to him, but he really did enjoy his school experience. Michael attended Marysville-Pillchuck High School.

Michael never actually encountered a stranger in his dealings with people. He was drawn to individuals and crowds, using his outgoing personality to captivate his audience. This quality allowed Michael to continually develop new relationships, ever widening his circle of friends. Whether it was a story, a joke, a song or just plain fooling around, Michael was always right at home putting on a show among his friends.

Perhaps the reason Michael related so well to children was the fact that he never really completely grew up himself. The ability to be just a “kid at heart” helped him in raising his own children. Michael was blessed with two children, Sofya and Eli "Bear". Michael had the ability to focus his attention on the present moment. If he was spending time with the kids, that’s where all of his attention was directed. He could spend hours entertaining them with fun and creative play.

His primary occupation was an electrician and was working towards his apprenticship. He was employed for R&S Electric.

Michael had an artistic side to him. He liked creating and making things with his hands. His favorite pursuits were music, painting, drawing and tattooing. Michael was content to enjoy his hobbies alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.

Michael passed away on September 2, 2020 at his home in Everett. Sadly he lost his battle with addiction and depression. He is survived by his children Sofya, Eli "Bear"; his brother Jacob and his mother Virginia. Services were held at St. Mary Catholic Church.

Michael brought joy to all of those around him. He never had a mean bone in his body. He loved to have a good time and was an eternal optimist, always looking on the bright side of things. He loved to share his energy, wit, and his zest for all of his activities with his friends and family. Michael Anthony Urbina lived life to its fullest and made everyone around him happier just for knowing him. He will be remembered with a smile.
