Richard A. “Dick” Score passed away on the evening of June 10, 2021, after a long battle with cancer. Originally born in Whitefish, Montana, and after spending his early years in Ballard, his parents settled in Everett in 1947. Other than brief occurrences, he proudly called Everett home for the rest of his life. A student at Whittier Elementary, a graduate of Everett High School in 1958, and a long-time member at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church here in town, Everett was always the place he wanted to be.
Dick graduated with an Accounting Degree from the University of Washington in 1962. That was only one stop on his University of Washington journey. A long time Husky fan, he attended his first Husky football game in 1948, and was a season ticket holder for the last 55 seasons. Both of his parents were Huskies, his wife is a graduate, all three children, and now two grandchildren have followed in the Husky way earning degrees. Weekends in the fall always meant a little more in the Score family
home.
Dick enjoyed talking sports, attending church, speaking about Everett history, and being involved with the family’s activities and events. A proud husband, father, grandfather and Norwegian, Dick is survived by his
wife of 56 years, Suzanne Score, his three children, Tami, Todd, and Michael, and six grandchildren. A grave site service will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Everett the morning of July 10th at 9:00am.
