Robert Blaine DeFever

Robert Blaine DeFever passed away at his home in Marysville, WA. Bob was born May 22, 1962, and grew up in Kennewick Washington, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from Kamiakin High School where he made many lifelong friends. Bob played nose guard for Kakmiakin Braves Football team. Bob loved football and following high school he coached the Grid Kids football team. Bob was an ardent Seahawks fan and rarely missed a game. He and his mother in law, Lynda Kelley, texted back and forth during every game keeping track of the score and cheering on the team. Following high school Bob worked for Lampson, Inc. Bob attended Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Washington. He then moved to Illinois where he earned his degree in Chiropractic Medicine at Palmer college of chiropractic in Iowa. Dr. Bob, his former wife Jodee and daughter Avery moved to bothell, WA where he started his practice working under his mentor, Jim Burkett at Marysville Chiropractic Clinic. Upon Dr, Jim’s retirement Bob had the opportunity to take over the clinic. The family’s second child, son, Nicholas arrived to complete the family.

Bob will remembered and treasured for his fun loving ways. He always had hilarious tales to share. Bob was a kind and giving man who treasured his family. He was a devoted member of the Marysville Rotary and served as its president as well as many other rolls. Bob enjoyed being of service to his community and devoted much of his time to various community projects.

Bob was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Robert DeFever, his father, Thomas L. DeFever, and brother, Lawrence E. DeFever.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Avery Lynn DeFever; granddaughter, Lilliana Grace DeFever; his children’s mother, Jodee Webb; Mother, Jean Yount (Gerald); Brother, Thomas E. DeFever (Diana); Brother, Terrance A. DeFever (Cheryl) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. We miss Bob dearly but know he has been reunited with his beloved son, Nicky as well as family members who have gone before him.
