Sheila was born in Everett, WA on August 25, 1938. She attended Our Lady of the Perpetual Help, Everett High School, and on to Seattle University where she graduated summa cum laude in 1960. She began her teaching career at Long Beach, California and after a few years returned home to Washington where she taught in the Everett School District, her elementary alma mater of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School, and finally the Snohomish School District where she retired in 2000 after 27 years of service. After her retirement, she continued to substitute teach for the Snohomish School District.
Sheila was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish and was active in all aspects of parish life. She loved to travel and her knowledge of distant places was legendary, eventually splitting time between Everett and Galway, Ireland. She had just returned from a trip to London, quite possibly her favorite city in the world. She loved to cook and decorate and for years collected house plans and decorating ideas for her dream house, which was built in North Everett, and where she spent the remainder of her life.
Sheila is survived in life by her husband Michael, daughters Libby Knudson of California, Amy Knudson of Sammamish, son Sean Crehan and daughter-in-law Trisha Dinwiddie Crehan of Everett, and her grandson Jack.
Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Hope Chapel in Everett at 2619 Cedar Street at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 with a reception immediately following at the Crehan home at 535 Wetmore Avenue Everett, WA 98201.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.Evergreen-FH.com for the Crehan family.
