

Stan Hurd was born September 17, 1933, in Everett, Washington to George and Ethel Hurd. He was a loving husband, son, father and friend. He died Tuesday, November 10, 2015, with his family by his side. Stan was an avid piano player from a very young age and entertained troops while enlisted in the Army. He was an accomplished artist with a broad scope of talent from oil paintings, architectural plans, comics and cartoons. Stan loved to work in the yard, take road trips and he loved running Hurd's for Men in Everett as well as Stan's Varsity Shop in Lynnwood and Edmonds, Wash. He loved fancy cars, fancy houses and anytime spent at his cabin on Driftwood Shores or Seaside, Oregon. He was proudly a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Everett, Washington. He leaves behind a wife of 30 years, Loretta, who cared for him this past year with grace, compassion, patience and love; his children, Mark Hurd, Terri Hurd, Cristi Landes, Russ Youngquist (Laurie), Susan Feemster, and Lori Youngquist; grandchildren, Paul, Kalee, Ben, Tessa and Tanner. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on November 13, 2015, at Evergreen Funeral Home. Donations in memory can be made to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, PO Box 2927, Everett, WA 98213
