AVIS DE DÉCÈS

Veronica Ann Lopez

21 décembre 1962 – 4 novembre 2025
Avis de décès de Veronica Ann Lopez
AUX SOINS DE

Evergreen Funeral Home & Cemetery

Veronica Ann Lopez (née Contreras), 62, passed away peacefully at her home in Marysville, Washington, on November 4, 2025, following complications from kidney failure. Born December 21, 1962, in Tempe, Arizona, she grew up in the Copper State before later settling in Washington.

Veronica was the daughter of Alice and Arthur Contreras and the sister of Randy Contreras and Arthur Contreras Jr. She spent several years working in retail before dedicating her life to her home, her family, and caring for her elderly father. She married Fred Lopez, and together they built a life centered around love, loyalty, and laughter.

She was a devoted mother to her children—Adrian Ruiz, Kristy Ruiz and Michael Ruiz—and she carried the memory of Adrian close to her heart after his passing. Veronica also adored her grandchildren: Adrian Ruiz, Isaac Ruiz, Aydin Broncho, and Ponca.

Veronica’s life was stitched together with the things she loved most: spending time with family, spoiling her dogs, casino outings, scrolling TikTok, hosting dinners, and dancing with the kind of joy that pulled everyone in. She had an infectious laugh, a beautiful smile, and a way of making people feel cared for—often through the meals she made just for them. Hot cocoa on cold days, tamales and sopa during the holidays, and big family breakfasts were some of her signatures.

In Washington, she found comfort in simple, meaningful traditions—drives to Mission Beach, celebrating the Fourth of July by the water, and visiting Adrian’s grave to leave fresh flowers and keep the space tended with love.

Veronica is survived by her husband, Fred; her children, Kristy and Michael; her parents, Alice and Arthur; and her siblings, Randy and Arthur. She joins her son Adrian in eternal rest.

A celebration of her life will be held in Arizona at a later date. She will be laid to rest beside her son at Evergreen Cemetery in Everett, Washington.

Veronica’s family will remember her as the heart of every gathering—someone who celebrated every win, included everyone at the table, and never hesitated to show up when she was needed. Her presence made life fuller, warmer, and brighter. Her absence leaves a space that love will continue to fill.
