

Wolfgang Hans Dietrich Schaefer was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. He was the son of Richard and Hedwig. He had 2 brothers Werner and Guenter and a sister Christa.
His primary occupation was naval contractor inspector. He was in the U. S. Air Force for 21 years and the Naval Civil Service for 25 years. Wolfgang was an air force veteran. Wolfgang served in the Vietnam War. Through his hard work, he achieved the rank of technical Sargent. After retirement from the Air Force Jack continued to work for the Department of Defense Naval Civil Engineering Corps for 25 years.
He enjoyed German cameras, binoculars, knives, and guns. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others. Wolfgang loved to walk all over the Everett marina and from his house down to the lake park.
Throughout his later years, Wolfgang was an active member at Our Lady of Hope Parish and loved helping setting up for mass from 2006-2019. He was a member Our Lady of Hope since 1988.
One of his favorite’s pets was Max a miniature Dachshund. They were best friends for 14 years. His family was rounded out by his other pets Pede and Skipper.
In retirement in Lake Stevens, he found new pleasure in traveling regularly to Germany, Sweden, and Hawaii. Germany and Hawaii were his favorite places to vacation. It was a chance for him to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things.
Wolfgang passed in his sleep early May 8. He is survived by his wife and sister-in-law Mary and Qui, his children Daniel, John, Eden, Duc, and his grandchildren Lochlan and McCoy. Jack will be laid to rest in Holyrood Cemetery.
Everyone whose life he touched will always remember "Jack" Wolfgang Hans Dietrich Schaefer.
