Albert Eugene Santora went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2023. Albert was born on July 24th 1925 in Tukwila WA to parents Bessie and Nicola Santora. His mother unfortunately passed away early in her life, so his older sister Mary and brother in law Phil Isernio also raised him. Albert was drafted into the US Navy at the age of 18 and served two years during World War II as a Radioman aboard The USS PC 791. After returning from the war he met Rosemary Wagner through Rosemary’s brother. Albert and Rosemary married October 19th 1946 and later had two children together Linda and Kathy. Albert spent the rest of his career in the plumbing trade until his retirement in 1987. He was a plumber's union member for over 70 years. He was a very proud veteran throughout his life, and a very giving man regularly donating money to children’s and veterans programs. Albert was a trophy winning golfer, and Bocce ball player. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and working on stained glass art. He enjoyed John Wayne movies, Gene Autry books, and listening to Frank Sinatra. He was also a talented guitar and harmonica player, and played Harmonica into the last days of his life. He was a big football fan and loved the Seattle Seahawks. Albert and Rosemary enjoyed almost 59 years together before Rosemary passed in 2005. Albert later met Wanda Olmstead who he married in 2008 and spent the majority of his last years in life with. Albert and Wanda enjoyed time together at home in Roseville, CA with an occasional trip to the local Casino buffet. His favorite food of course was Italian food and could never pass up a dish of Spumoni ice cream when he had the chance. Albert was a Catholic man and maintained that faith throughout his life. Albert leaves behind his spouse Wanda Santora, his daughter Linda Santora, Kathy Berger her husband Ron Berger, and several grandchildren: Todd Ullman, Danielle Ullman, Kylene Alexander, her husband Larry Alexander, Gina Berger, her fiancé Jeremiah Golden and great several great grandchildren, Maria Crespin, Alexandria Ullman, Alexis Alexander, Gavin Alexander and Ruby Sue Golden as well as a great great grandchild Emmet Luke. Sadly, Albert's death precedes the death of his first great grandchild Luke Santora who was taken home to heaven too soon.
A visitation for Albert will be held Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Ln, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 14, 2023 at 9:00 AM at Mount Vernon Memorial Park.
