Bernadine Joyce Johansen

January 30, 1931 – February 6, 2026

It is with great love and deep sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Bernadine Joyce Johansen, who entered eternal rest on February 6, 2026, at the age of 95.

Bernadine lived a long and beautiful life filled with faith, family, and kindness. She is now reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Harold Max Johansen, and her cherished son, Mark Christian Johansen.

Bernadine’s legacy continues through her loving children:

Richard Carl Johansen and his wife, Shirley;

Ronald Lee Johansen and his wife, Debbie;

and Dianne Kay Johansen (Watters).

She was blessed with six grandchildren — Bryan; Shannon and her husband, Grant; Andrew; Hannah and her husband, Dally; Ryan; and Kaytie — and four great-grandchildren, Jax, Cali, Asher, and Adaline. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life, bringing her immeasurable joy, laughter, and pride. Nothing delighted her more than time spent with them, and their love filled her later years with happiness and meaning.

Those who knew Bernadine will remember her gentle spirit, unwavering love for her family, and the quiet strength that carried her through a life well lived. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, grace, and deep devotion.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 5th at 12:00 p.m., followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. and burial at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Vernon Memorial Park and Mortuary, 8201 Greenback Lane, Fair Oaks, CA 95628. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend.

Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with those who went before her and that her light will continue to shine through all who loved her.
