Bonnie V. Townsend daughter of the late Clyde & LuVada Stevens passed away at Casa Coloma Health Care Center on Sunday, June 12th, 2011. She was born Jan 30th, 1923 in Telephone, Texas and was one of WWII’s “Rosie the Riveters”. Preceded in death by Weldon Townsend, her husband of 58 yrs. She is survived by her 3 children and spouses, Linda & (Terry) Kent of Omaha Ne, David & (Jean) Townsend of Roseville Ca. and Dolores & (Jim) White of Sacramento Ca. Bonnie is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday the 19th, between 1pm and 4pm at Mt. Vernon Mortuary and services will be there on Monday, June 20th at 1pm, immediately followed by graveside.
