Carol Scotti, born August 11, 1949 in Fresno, Cal., went to be with our Lord on March 20, 2012. Carol had lived in the Sacramento area since 1967, and spent her working life as a Senior Analyst for the State of California, retiring in 2001, and enjoying her flower gardening for many years. Carol was a fun loving person that was at her best when taking care of others. She loved trips to Hawaii, South Carolina, and Idaho, and was ready to go to any place at the drop of a hat.
Carol is survived by her long time love, Lyle Smoot, with whom she had shared her life for over 25 years. She is also survived by her mother, Betty Etrick of South Carolina, her brother Bob Walker of South Carolina, a half-brother Gordon Walker of California, and a son Brett Wilcox of Georgia. Lyle and Carol spent lots of time enjoying the company of Lyle’s children and grandchildren. Carol loved her mother and brothers and was happy when visiting with them.
Carol especially loved sharing little adventures with her friend Paulette Glascock in Idaho and other places that Lyle and Paulette’s husband Grant would take them to on a moment’s notice, usually to a car show. But Carol was a good sport and never complained about the “car stuff”.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, March 26 from 10-12. Funeral Service at 12:00pm. Both services held at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, 8201 Greenback Lane Fair Oaks, CA. For further information call 916-969-1251.
