

Charles E. Perry Jr. passed from this life and moved on to glory on September 14, 2025 in Roseville, California. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Perry of Roseville, CA, son, Phillip Perry, stepson, Rick Fisher of Queen Creek, AZ, stepson Steve Fisher of El Dorado Hills, CA, stepdaughter, Cindi Long of Folsom, CA, and nine grandchildren. He was pre-deceased in death by his parents, Charles and Louise Perry, his stepmother, Easter Perry, his first wife, Martha (Dennewitz) Perry and sisters Carol Robinson and Ruth Moore.
Charles was born to Charles and Louise (Via) Perry on July 10, 1942 in Chillicothe, Ohio. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1960. He served four years in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mechanic and plane captain.
Charles entered the pastoral ministry in 1968 and devoted over forty-five years to serving churches in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and California. He was also a licensed Marriage and Family Counselor.
He was educated at Ohio University, Lexington Baptist College (Bachelor of Arts), Grace Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), Sierra College, California State University Sacramento, and Luther Rice Seminary (Doctor of Ministry).
He is the author of seven books: Why Christians Burn Out, The Treasure on Orchard Hill, The Treasure of Our Heritage, The Caregiver, Burned Out: Why Me?, Special Delivery, and Dangerous Dispositions.
The entombment was on September 23, 2025 at Mount Vernon Mortuary in Sacramento.
