Claudia Elizabeth Craft

Claudia Elizabeth Craft, age 73, formerly of Oxnard, CA passed away in Fair Oaks, CA on Monday October 14, 2019. Claudia was born on December 11, 1945 in Joliet, IL to Roger L. Gowdey and Eleanor M. Gowdey. In addition to her parents, Claudia was preceded in death by her sister Joan Daniels.

Claudia was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her son Larry Craft and daughters Cheryl Craft and Cathy Craft-Akin and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews.

Claudia had various careers throughout her life, most notably as a Legal Support Supervisor for the State of California and most importantly as the best mom and “memom” anyone could ever have. Her home and family were always the most important to her.

Claudia was always the definition of a lady with the kindness, etiquette, and attire to match. Claudia was an avid and gifted decorator and every home she made for her family and herself over the years was beautiful both inside and out.

Services will be held on Tuesday October 29 at 10 am at Mount Vernon Chapel of the Valley with internment to follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sacramento SPCA.
