Clifford E Shirk of Carmichael, passed away peacefully on Jan 6, 2012. Born Sept 17, 1922 in Empire, CA he was a WWII veteran and a recipient of 2 bronze stars. He enjoyed playing softball for the The Golden Seniors until the age of 80. He is survived by his wife Mary of 65 years, his 3 children Bill (Dena), Debbie (Walt), Gary (Deby), 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thurs, Jan 12 from 11:30-12:30 at Mount Vernon in Fair Oaks, with services beginning at 12:30 the same day.
