The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall is a traveling, three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Dignity Memorial network providers created this powerful memorial in 1990 as a service to those who may never visit the nation's capital to see "The Wall" firsthand. The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Wall honors all veterans and is dedicated to Vietnam Veterans. Many that visit "The Wall" find it as a place of healing, peace and comfort in the loss of a fallen soldier.
Free and open to the public 24 hours a day, the replica is eight feet high and 240 feet long. Its black, reflective surface is inscribed with the names of more than 58,000 servicemen and women who died or are missing in Vietnam. Paper and pencils will be provided so visitors can make rubbing's of names etched on the wall.
