

Donald Dennis Tribble, 90 of Carmichael, CA, entered into eternal rest on February 3, 2015 following a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Don was born on February 29, 1924 in Elk Grove, CA to Moses and Majel Tribble, joining with his older brother Willard Bruce (Bill).
Don graduated from Grant Union High School in 1940 and entered into the service of his country as a Radioman in the U.S. Army Signal Corp. in 1942. While at technical school at the University of Idaho he met his future wife, Dorothea Barbara Lewis. Surviving the war, Don returned to Idaho where he married his sweetheart Dorothea and they moved to Laramie, WY where Don earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
Don and Dorothea moved to Sacramento, CA where he took employment with the Bureau of Reclamation/ Department of Energy until his retirement in 1981. Don then accepted a position with the State of California, working with the Department of Water Resources until his retirement in 2004. Don was a member of Tau Beta Phi, The Engineering Honor Society, was a licensed Practicing Engineer in the State of California and a member of the University of Wyoming Alumni Association. Don was an active member of several local churches, building two of them, before joining First Baptist Church of Orangevale where he was a member of the choir.
Don is survived by his two sons, Donald Timothy (Tim), wife Tracy Joan, and Daniel Thomas (Tom), wife Pamela Lynn; Grandsons Richard Donald and Christopher James; Granddaughters Amanda Kaitlyn and Savannah Leigh; and Great Grandson Lucas Timothy and Great Granddaughter Abigail Leann. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Moses and Majel, his brother Willard Bruce (Bill) and his wife Dorothea.
Don’s service will be held at Mount Vernon Memorial Park on February 13, 2015 at 1:30 pm with internment immediately following. The First Baptist Church of Orangevale will be hosting a reception after the internment. Flowers may be sent to Mount Vernon and the family asks that any memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
