

Born on June 25, 1948, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, Kaye was the beloved daughter of Jasper Hamrick “JH” and Hazel Yuvonne Cook Huskey. She grew up in the Southwest, spending her childhood in various places with her parents and brother, David “Dave” Keith Huskey.
Kaye attended Grand Canyon University in Arizona, where she met and married Robert “Gregory” Fry on May 4, 1968. Together, they had four children: Shannon Christine, Tera Lyn, Robert David, and Yuvonne Elizabeth. Their journey took them to Phoenix, Tucson, and Merced. Eventually, settling in Orangevale, California.
Kaye dedicated much of her professional life to education as an elementary school librarian, a career she cherished. Throughout her life, she was actively involved in her church and ministry, leading choirs and youth groups, as well as participating in music groups. She had a love for music, singing, reading, sewing, baking, and decorating cakes. As she grew older, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family, especially her 14 grandchildren, their spouses, and 13 great-grandchildren.
A woman of deep faith, Kaye was a devout Christian who prayed daily for her family and friends. She had a strong love for the Lord Jesus Christ, and it was her dearest hope that all her loved ones would be reunited with her in heaven one day. Kaye was also very patriotic and had a keen interest in current events, always keeping herself informed on what was happening in the world.
Kaye was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Gregory” Fry; her parents, JH and Hazel Huskey; her brother, Dave Huskey; and her daughter, Shannon Christine Fry McLain.
She is survived by her children Tera Lyn (Ronald) Larson, Robert David Fry, and Yuvonne Elizabeth (Jeremiah) Ramirez; grandchildren Marissa (Zeke Camusio) McLain, Michelle Larson, Caitlyn McLain, Clairissa (Jacob) Chandler, Kristian McLain, Emily (Kevin) Smith, Alfinia Myah, Hayley Quinn, Ronald “Kevin” (Selena) Larson, Robert “Landon” Fry-Warner, Angelyna (Richard) Rodriguez, Armando Ramirez, Gregory Fry, and Arnina Fry; great-grandchildren Conner Chandler, Lailah Smith, Sophianna Chandler, Kieran Camusio, Atlas Smith, Adelyn Camusio, Asher Nolting, Xander Chandler, Sawyer Smith, Elias Nolting, Manasseh Brumfield-Holmes, Waylon Smith, and Myla Camusio; sister-in-love Colleen Bakke Huskey; and her best friend, Becky Driscoll.
Kaye will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
A visitation will be held on March 7, 2025, at 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm and a graveside service at 2:00 pm.
